Mountain's Edge is a 3,500-acre master-planned community in southwest Las Vegas that began development in the early 2000s. The community is located south of Blue Diamond Road and west of Buffalo Drive, stretching toward the Spring Mountains foothills. The master plan was designed with an emphasis on parks, trails, and open space, giving the community a more walkable feel than many comparable developments in the valley.

The community includes multiple builder neighborhoods developed by a mix of regional and national homebuilders. Mountain's Edge has grown into one of the more populated master plans in southwest Las Vegas, with a full complement of retail, schools, and recreational facilities within or adjacent to its boundaries.

Zoned for schools in the Clark County School District, including Mountain's Edge pilot schools and Faiss Middle School (6-8, CCSD). Coronado High School (9-12, CCSD) and Sierra Vista High School (9-12, CCSD) serve portions of the community. School assignments vary by neighborhood.

Location and Commute

Mountain's Edge is located in southwest Las Vegas, accessible via Mountain's Edge Parkway, Blue Diamond Road, and Buffalo Drive. I-15 is approximately five to ten minutes east, and the 215 beltway connects the community to the western and southern portions of the valley. The Las Vegas Strip is roughly 20 to 25 minutes north via I-15 or Buffalo Drive, depending on traffic.

Harry Reid International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away via I-15. The community's southwest location also provides relatively quick access to Red Rock Canyon and the Spring Mountains for outdoor recreation.
